CARDONE Solution: Unlike other aftermarket units that do not supply filters, CARDONE supplies reservoir filters that meets OE specifications that will not allow contamination to enter the brake system, creating longevity and decreasing potential premature break failure.
When discussing a possible R&R repair, help customers understand the following:
· With growing SKU proliferation, it is important for customers to correctly identify the part number. Any incorrect application information, such as being a year off, will result in a different price.
· The R&R tag states, "Pricing will be assigned when CARDONE receives the unit in the R&R Department."
· Once the part is in-house, CARDONE provides customers the option of obtaining an estimate before CARDONE rebuilds the unit.

Stock Tips for CARDONE Select CVs
To optimize sales and return on investment, it would be better to buy CVs based on rank. To help, CARDONE has developed stock tips using an Excel spreadsheet-one tab is for a large jobber, which is 50 SKUs and the other tab is for an average WD that has 100 SKU's.
Unlike brake calipers, CVs are not replaced in sets. And, in some cases, one side of the car will have one CV number and the other side of the car will have multiple options based on transmission. For example...the 1996 Buick Park Ave has a 66-1210 for the left side; however, the right side can be one of three axles (if the car has an axle ration of 2.84, it is the 66-1060; if the car has a 3.06 axle ratio, it is a 66-1092; and if the car has a supercharged engine it, is a 66-1256).
To obtain the best sales coverage, it is best to stock based on sales rank. In the above example, part 66-1210 is ranked number 80, part 66-1060 is ranked 96, and parts 66-1256 & 66-1092 are ranked 155 & 157, respectively. So, if the customer could only stock 100 SKUs and they tried to match left and rights they might take the 1256 & 1092 and miss out on stocking higher ranked units.
Realizing some customers may not be convinced, CARDONE added the left and right part number matches.
Additionally, you also have access to a file that contains applications and number of axles per car listed. So, if a customer wanted to stock two of a certain axle because it fits both left and right you can sort this file by the number of axles per car and give them that information.
You can use the top 500 "Friction Choice with Bracket" part numbers to help customers decide which configuration is best for their specific needs. Jobber pricing is shown for both configurations. On average, there is a $2.86 jobber difference. By offering a choice, CARDONE allows customers to stay with the current configuration. This may be the best option in markets where retailers are strong and the mounting bracket is not a factor. Some larger customers may even want to try both bracketed and non-bracket configurations on the fastest movers.
A supplemental catalog is available to help sell the program.99 NEW PART NUMBERS were released in June.
